WHAT
IS A SATELLITE CENTER?
For
the past 4 years, students who wanted to reap
the benefits of the Resource Center had to trek
from the furthest reaches of New York City to
the middle of Brooklyn. While many students made
the trip, some even daily, the burden of travel
times of up to 90 minutes both ways is not the best
way to foster debate communities throughout the
city. With this in mind, the Resource Center
will now be the hub for multiple Satellite
Centers throughout the city, open one day a week
and staffed by college volunteers from NYU,
Columbia, Fordham, and the CUNY schools.
The
Resource Center will continue to have added
perks and bonuses for attendance and work done
here, as well as special events and activities.
