The New York City Department of Youth and Community
Development (DYCD) oversees various employment
initiatives for youth and communities, including the
Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) and the Work,
Learn and Grow (WLG) program. Through these initiatives,
young New Yorkers can explore their career interests,
build workplace skills, and participate in enriching
