Greetings
This weekend started with
Calypso Friday.
This opening activity was a roaring success.
The evening was well attended and the Artist
were at their best. There were a few
surprised guest, that included performances by
Kali Boyce, Actress/Comedian Susan
Olton-Kennedy and Louis Antoine.
Calyposnians for the night were
Brown Boy,
who stole the crowd for the evening,
Mr Lonesome, Poison Dart, Dr Witty,
who lived up to his name,
Super Rod, sexy Red Cherry and Kali Boyce and
Tunapuna Scanty.
Our MC for the night Rick Dalgetty did a
fantastic job as well as our Sound Engineer and
DJ for the night Quiet Storm.
Saturday morning, we were up early for the
10th Annual Sesame/Gaines Pool Party (click
to see pictures).
We all had a safe, great time. There were
approximately 60 children in attendance, with at
least 25 adults as chaperones. Mr Gaines
using his walker came out and spent the day with
us as a Life Guard. God's willing, we are
looking forward to him being in the pool as he
used to with us.
Sunday was the Children's Band Launching.
It was exciting to watch the young masqueraders
model their costumes and to hear the oohs and
aahs of the children in the audience.
Their excitement was catching. The evening
for the children ended at six, some adults
stayed back for the
Sunday Cool Down Lime
featuring the Bar Rats - to be continued every
Sunday.
